What leaves, what comes back, and what you had to hire in.

ShopOps is the company's gear operation, tied to the company rather than to one event — so kits, cases, pairing and sub-rentals stay yours no matter whose show they go out on.

Who this is

You run the shop. Prep is your week, the truck is your deadline, and everything that goes wrong on site was either short, broken, or in the wrong case. What you need is a pull sheet that reflects scans instead of intentions, and a way to see the same thing the crew chief is seeing.

  • Your inventory is company-wide; the event is just where it goes this week
  • You care about counts that came off a scan, not counts somebody ticked
  • Sub-rental is a normal Tuesday, not an exception
What you open first

ShopOps Overview

/shows/[showId]/shop

Owned gear, cases, warehouses and what is out or sub-rented, over the three groups the shop actually works in: Inventory, Warehouse and Operations. It is the index of your whole operation, and every tile is a way in.

What this module does
ShopOps Overview: 60 owned gear, 15 cases, 2 warehouses, above the Inventory, Warehouse and Operations section cards

The screens you live in

5 screens, and what each one is for.

01

Events pull sheet & truck packs

/shows/[showId]/shop

Pick the event and get its shop-side truth: the truck roster, the packs, and the gear pull sheet with a pulled count per line. Print a load sheet or a pull sheet for the floor from the same screen.

02

Inventory & Cases

/shows/[showId]/shop

The permanent catalogue — owned gear and road cases, each with a company asset number. The status bar across the top splits the whole inventory into in-warehouse, prepping, on job, repair and missing.

03

Kits & Pairing

/shows/[showId]/shop

Kits that travel as one thing, and pairing for gear that is useless alone — mics to receivers, units to antennas. A kit that is not complete says so before it is pulled.

Kits and pairing: six kits — comms, FOH audio, monitor world, rigging, spot lighting and video wall — each six items and marked complete

04

Truck Pack Manager

/shows/[showId]/shop

Build the pack against a to-scale deck with floor, mid and top layers, and the truck's own dimensions and weight. Packs sync live to the event's Truck Packs and Load Planner — you are not building it twice.

Scan In / Out

/shows/[showId]/shop

The event scan portal — pull, pack case, load truck, return. Scanning marks items off the pull sheet and stages their cases for the pack; the progress bar is the scans, not a estimate.

ShopOps Scan In / Out: the pull sheet at 70 percent with per-line pulled counts and statuses, a scan station on the right and per-truck case counters

What you never touch

The boundary, before you find it yourself

Half of these are somebody else's screen and half of them are things this software does not do at all. Both are worth knowing now rather than at 16:00 on a load-in day.

  • The show

You are not on the rundown and you do not want to be. Your handover is the truck.

  • Someone else's shop

When companies share an event, back-of-house stays separate. You see your gear on the shared gear list, not theirs.

  • Automatic reordering

Consumables track stock levels. Nothing here places an order or talks to a supplier.
