Raise a proposal

A proposal is the week before the week exists. It carries a value and a stage, it points at a real client, and it is the record a show gets created from rather than a document that sits beside one.

WhereSidebar > Sales Ops > Pipeline

  1. Start it against a client.

A client record, not a name typed onto a document. That is what makes the history searchable later.

  2. Build the lines.

What you are selling, at what value. This is the number the event's budget lines start from.

  3. Move it through the stages.

The board is by stage, so what is actually landing this quarter is a glance rather than a spreadsheet.

  4. Turn the yes into an event.

The show is created from the proposal, so the dates, the client and the value arrive already attached.
